Bad news: Susan Noles will not join some of her former Golden Bachelor costars in Paradise next season. Good news: it’s because she met a nice French man and hard-launched their relationship.
“When you least expect, never give up hope …” Susan, 67, captioned the Monday, April 21, Instagram post.
The video featured the reality star’s favorite moment with her boyfriend, Frederic. A lot of the clips featured beachside moments – so it looks like Susan found her own slice of paradise.
“I’m so happy for you Susan, you deserve this!!!!” Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer wrote in the comments section of the post.
Meanwhile, a fan inquired, “Yay! He’s a lucky guy! But I heard rumors you were going on Paradise.”
Susan replied, “That’s why I announced this, I won’t be going.”
Susan shared the news with her Instagram followers shortly after she announced her relationship on the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast alongside cohost Kathy Swarts.
During the episode, Susan admitted that she met Frederic during a routine trip to St. Martin with Kathy, 71, in February. However, it wasn’t a love-at-first-sight situation. In fact, it was more like love-at-first-swipe.
“Kathy and I were having a fabulous vacation and one night we went to bed. She was upstairs, I was in my room, and I was playing games on my computer and I could not sleep. And I thought, you know what? What have I got to lose? I went on Tinder,” Susan admitted. “See, everybody, it does work when you least expect it! And trust and believe me, I used to be on all the dating sites forever. So, I tried it and I saw somebody, I swiped, and then I didn’t get on for like three days … I decided to check back in and there was a message and I was like ‘Oh!’ So that was the fun part. Of course, he is French and he speaks French.”
Susan and Frederic, who is 14 years her junior, have overcome their language barrier by communicating through a translation app. As they say, however, actions speak louder than words.
“I can’t even explain this feeling,” Susan gushed to Kathy after admitting that she and Frederic have both exchanged I love you’s. “I think he is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. The way he treats me and takes care of me. Kathy, when I broke my arm, I needed to shower. The man showered me, shaved my legs, washed me, I mean, he took care of me like no other. They don’t make them like this. I don’t know where it came from, but I’m blessed. I feel blessed.”
While reflecting on her new and progressing relationship, Susan announced she was not joining Bachelor Nation singles for the upcoming season of BiP because she “found the love of [her] life.”
Susan instantly gained popularity when she became part of the first group of contestants on The Golden Bachelor season 1 in 2023. The Pennsylvania native may not have found a spark with Gerry Turner during her journey, but she gained a forever friendship with Kathy.
Following her reality TV debut, Susan mingled around the dating pool and briefly interacted with a man who was supposed to be on the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. Needless to say, it didn’t work out.
“But by the third phone call, I knew his life story, what he drove,” Susan shared during a February episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast. “He was supposed to be on Joan [Vassos]’ season. It was a lot.”
