The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here and the Green Bay Packers are scheduled to be on the clock with the No. 23 overall pick in the first round on Thursday night.
Brian Gutekunst needs to make some quality moves this week. If the Packers are going to reach their goals of being a serious Super Bowl contender during the 2025 season, they need to fill a few needs during the draft.
Among the biggest needs are help at wide receiver, cornerback, and adding an impactful pass rusher. There are pieces throughout the draft that could fill those holes. Green Bay could also use more quality depth on the defensive line.
To that end, a new prediction has been made that would bring in a sleeper 310-pound defender in the second round.
Green Bay Packers Predicted to Land Huge 310-Pound Sleeper Defender
Ian Valentino of The 33rd Team has released his final mock draft. He has the Packers taking Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander in the second round at No. 54 overall.
Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, Alexander could make for a very intriguing running mate on the line alongside Kenny Clark. He has great size and strength, but also possesses high-level athleticism.
During the 2024 season with Toledo, Alexander racked up 40 total tackles to go along with 3.5 sacks, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and four defended passes.
