It feels like a lifetime ago that Lisa Rinna was starting drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Since leaving, she has had a bit of a career resurgence regarding her acting and modeling, and she’s been in a few notable movie roles and on magazine covers. Now, her husband, Harry Hamlin, is opening up about the time Lisa and Garcelle Beauvais got into it over his sauce on the show.

Harry Hamlin Reveals Text Exchange With Garcelle Beauvais After Bolognese Sauce Drama, Plus Says Lisa Rinna Has “Transformed Herself” After Quitting RHOBH as He Gushes Over Her Success

Fans will recall that Lisa joined RHOBH during season five of the show. During her time there, she became one of the ultimate villains, and she eventually left in 2023 following the death of her mother. She has made it publically known that she left on her own accord and that she was not fired. She has also said she wouldn’t return to the series.

Recently, Harry made an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. They discussed quite a few topics, including Harry’s Famous Sauce. They also, of course, talked about Lisa’s time on RHOBH. Notably, they discussed the time Lisa and Garcelle got into it over her not thanking Harry for sending her some of his sauce.

The topic came up when the two of them were discussing using Housewives for marketing purposes, and how unexpected it was that his sauce was mentioned on the show.

According to Harry, “Well, but totally unexpected. This is an accident, as most stuff in my life is an accident. And this is another one. And I have to send a huge bouquet of flowers to Garcelle Beauvais because she loved the sauce.”

He continued, “And I did bring her, the very next day, I made her a batch and took it to her. And somehow something about her not thanking me for the sauce, which is Bolognese, became a thing on the show. And I have a text.”

Andy then reminded him that it was actually Lisa who “made it a thing on the show.”

Harry responded, “Well, I mean, somebody made a thing about her not thanking somebody else for something that was bulls**t. So then, yeah, but anyway, so I wrote this text to Garcelle ’cause it’s this whole thing about the thank you came up, and so this is the text. I’m reading it off my phone now. ”

“I sent it on receipt September 11th, 2021 at 3:26 PM: ‘Hi Garcelle!! No worries! I never ever expect a thank you or acknowledgment. I’m just glad you liked my sauce. This show brings out the best and the worst in us. And in the long run, it’s a learning experience that must not be taken too seriously. And I always say “as long as the checks don’t bounce, have at it.” Our friendship is safe and sound,’” Harry said.

He then read her response to the text, “She said, ‘You’re a great man, Harry,’ with little clapping things. I don’t know, what is that?”

They also discussed Lisa and how happy she seems since leaving RHOBH. Harry then said to Andy, “I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the last season that she was on. That show was so terrifying for her, so horrible. And such an icky moment in her life that she’s had to say, ‘No.’ And by saying no and not going back, she has now transformed herself into an amazing fashionista, an amazing actress. I mean, she’s just killing it everywhere she goes.”
