Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and now Joe Burrow have all gone head-to-head against Hurts and the Eagles. In all three games, Hurts has not only been the better quarterback, but Philadelphia has come away the victor.

Philadelphia's 37-17 blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday was the latest example. Hurts went 16-20 passing for 236 yards and four total touchdowns. Three came on the ground along with 37 rushing yards while his 45-yard touchdown to DeVonta Smith put the Eagles ahead for good.

Burrow, in the same game, went 26-37 for 234 yards, a touchdown and an interception. His 6.3 yards per attempt and 84.7 passer rating were significantly less than Hurts.

In a matchup featuring two quarterbacks from the 2021 draft class (and the only two from the class to reach the Super Bowl), the second-round quarterback outdueled the first-overall pick.

While there have been plenty of analysts who have criticized Hurts and his play since his dominant Super Bowl performance, there's little doubt left what Sunday's victory showed.

Hurts is as elite as Burrow - even if he just makes it look different than others.
