'Humble Confidence': Cam Ward Gets High Praise From Calvin Ridley As Titans Rookie QB Impresses

Cam Ward , newly drafted Tennessee Titans quarterback, was recently praised by the team’s wide receiver, Calvin Ridley. Ridley spoke to reporters over the weekend during his youth football camp at the Lipscomb Academy. One of the questions he was asked was about his opinion on Ward, to which he had nothing but great things to say.

Ward was heavily touted as a top prospect in the 2025 NFL draft, with the Tennessee Titans immediately betting on him. The Titans selected Ward as the first pick in the very first round of the draft. Before the league, Ward split his college football career with the Incarnate Word Cardinals, the Washington State Cougars and the Miami Hurricanes. In his senior year with Miami, Ward managed a total of 4,313 yards, scoring 39 touchdowns, with seven interceptions.

“To me, he(‘s) a dog. He’s confident… That’s the biggest thing coming in the league. You come in, and it’s like a humble confidence, you know you can play. That’s what you want, someone who knows they could play, make the throws, be smart, not afraid of anybody, ready to take it on. I’m excited for him. Gotta keep throwing, he’s gonna be good. He throws (with) great timing; the timing is up to date. I don’t think it’s gonna be a problem. Right now, we’re just bonding to be friends, brothers, but we’re working at the same time.” Calvin Ridley said to reporters about Cam Ward on Saturday.

Cam Ward’s teammate, Calvin Ridley, joined the Tennessee Titans in the previous NFL season. Ridley contributed 64 receptions for the team for 1,017 yards, scoring four touchdowns. His performance for the Titans was one of the saving graces of the team, which otherwise did very poorly last year.

Cam Ward Gifts Offensive Linemen Custom Diamond Chains

In other news, Cam Ward seems to be a gift that keeps on giving back as the newly drafted Tennessee Titans quarterback recently made news in gifting his offensive linemen custom diamond chains. Ward is definitely pretty wealthy currently, with his rookie contract and his impressive signing bonus.

The money is easily much more than what his other counterparts in the draft, like Shedeur Sanders will make in his rookie year. With a brilliant contract, Cam Ward also received a jaw-dropping $32.1 million signing bonus, with which he used a fraction to gift his offensive linemen the diamond chains. Ward seems to be already investing in the right people to keep his career going with the Titans.
