The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have one of the oldest and most fierce rivalries in all of sports, let alone the NFL. It is no secret that Packers fans hate Chicago and that Bears fans hate Green Bay. However, in recent seasons, it has become apparent that the rivalry has started to mean more to players, specifically ones who play for the Bears, than it did in the past.
Of course, this may have a lot to do with the fact that Green Bay has dominated Chicago for the better part of three decades. Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre went 22-10 against the Bears during his tenure with the Packers, and Aaron Rodgers went an astonished 24-5.
The Green Bay Packers Lost 1 Game to the Chicago Bears in 2024

Last season, the Bears beat the Packers in Week 18, a game which saw Christian Watson go down injury and the starters pulled before the contest was over in order to preserve them for the NFL Playoffs.
It was the first time Chicago beat Green Bay since Matt LaFleur became the head coach in 2019.
And while Green Bay did drop that Week 18 against Chicago, Jordan Love has picked up where his predecessors left off when it comes to dominating the Bears.
In four career games against Green Bay’s longtime rivals, Love is 3-1 with a passer rating of 121.0, 891 passing yards, six touchdowns, and just one interception.
Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams Says the Green Bay Packers Suck

As mentioned, the rivalry between the Bears and Packers has started to mean a great deal more, especially to Chicago players, in light of Green Bay’s recent dominance. Their win in Week 18 was, indeed, considered to be the best win of their 2024 NFL season, and perhaps their biggest win in the last six years.
In a recent media session with Bears reporters, Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams (who grew up a Packers fan) did not hide his feelings regarding Green Bay:
“I mean, they suck, right?” when talking about the Packers. He then bragged about being 1-0 at Lambeau as Chicago’s win came on the road in Week 18.
For much of this offseason, the Bears have been talking a pretty big came when it comes to them and their long-time rivals. New head coach Ben Johnson, when he was first hired, mentioned how he liked beating Matt LaFleur twice a year as the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, for example.
In the meantime, Packers players and coaches have laughed off the slights. And instead of pointing to their recent dominance over the Bears, they instead are planning on doing their talking through their play on the football field.
