The New Orleans Saints head-coaching search churns on after the latest NFL news. One of the key offensive candidates for the final HC opening has now turned down the Saints.
Kliff Kingsbury turns down Saints
According to Jordan Schultz, Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury will not interview in-person with the Saints. He is staying in Washington.
Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore headline the remaining candidates for New Orleans. This is the third time that New Orleans has been overlooked/declined on a second interview for their HC opening.

The Saints also had interest in interviewing Ben Johnson and Mike Vrabel. Neither did so in any form. It's all a clear indictment on New Orleans' current situation as a franchise. It's a tough one to sign up for, especially for a first-time head coach.
Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver and New York Giants OC Mike Kafka remain the other names involved in the search as well right now. Both have interviewed in person with the Saints front office.
