Insider Reveals Browns Obvious Quarterback Choice for 2025

Stop me if I sound like a broken record ... that's been running for 26 NFL seasons ... but the Cleveland Browns need a quarterback.

Insider Reveals Browns Obvious Quarterback Choice for 2025

With the news that Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles for the second time in three months back in January, finding a replacement should be Priority One for the Browns.

Cleveland had four different starting quarterbacks last season - including Watson - and none appeared to be long-term starting material - including Watson.

The Browns could address the situation with the No. 2 draft pick next month, or they could go find a veteran in free agency - or a combination of both.

But NFL insider Adam Schefter thinks he has the quarterback problem in Cleveland solved with one guy, who's already suited up for the Browns.

"How bout Joe Flacco, who has already led the Browns to playoffs two years ago, and there were people in the organization who wanted to keep him," the ESPN reporter said on his own podcast. "He wanted to play. They let him go cause there was some division there.

"But Joe Flacco back to Cleveland could be the perfect bridge quarterback for when Cleveland drafts a quarterback, I expect to be high."

Out of the seven starting quarterbacks that have suited up for the Browns over the past two seasons, Flacco played the best, including a short postseason run.
