Insider Reveals No Browns Favorite for Quarterback at No. 2

The Cleveland Browns have an opportunity to potentially draft their next (and first in a long time) franchise quarterback with the 2nd overall pick in next month's NFL Draft from Green Bay.

But they also will have an opportunity to go a different direction if they so choose, with several defensive players rumored to be on their shortlist in the first round.

But with Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward being the top two quarterbacks expected to be taken, the Browns could have their choice depending on what Tennessee does at No. 1. The Titans have Will Levis, who they drafted in the second round of 2023, but he hasn't exactly impressed.

They could stand pat with Levis and go defense or trade out of the No. 1 spot altogether. Either way, Clevland will have an opportunity at either Ward, Sanders or both.

But which one?

NBC Sports' Matthew Brady revealed some things he heard while attending the NFL Scouting Combine last week, and one of those things involves the Browns at No. 2 and which quarterback they prefer.

"The one team I heard that DID like Sanders was Cleveland," Berry wrote. "They like Ward as well, but they would be good with ether. So, despite the Browns being the current DraftKings betting favorite to draft Travis Hunter, everything I heard was that Cleveland is going QB. And they are good with either guy."

But remember, no team is telling the truth this time of year with regard to the draft or free agents. So what do we take from all of this? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

We won't know anything for sure until April 24.
