Is CeeDee Lamb playing today? Latest updates for Cowboys WR

The Dallas Cowboys' interior defensive line play in Week 2 was an affront to the sport of football. To make matters worse, the group is in disarray heading into Sunday's game against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. If the Cowboys can't stop the run again, it might be out of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb's power to come to the rescue.

However, Lamb gave Dallas supporters a scare on Wednesday when he was listed as a DNP in practice. Trevon Diggs also missed practice with an apparent foot injury. With Jake Ferguson and Mazi Smith also banged up, fans couldn't help but fear the worst for Sunday.

Those fears lasted all of 24 hours. He told reporters he was just feeling sore and he was back practicing on Thursday. Lamb was off the injury report entirely by Friday, so he will play against the Ravens.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb won't play in Week 3 vs. the Ravens

That is not the only good news Cowboys fans received. Along with Lamb, Diggs and Ferguson have also been cleared for action. Smith was limited on Friday but he is also expected to play after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday after his back seized up.

Lamb's stats would suggest that he hasn't come out firing this season, but that is anything but the case. He has nine catches for 151 yards and a touchdown. Cowboys fans are used to that being a weekly stat line from No. 88, but he is essentially having his training camp right now.

The lack of practice reps with Prescott has been evident. The duo would have connected for a touchdown against the Saints, but a miscommunication caused the pass to fall incomplete. Lamb took blame for the misfire, saying he missed an adjustment and that those are things that are normally ironed out in training camp.

If only Jerry and Stephen Jones could have prevented this! While they always get credit for eventually signing their superstars, waiting until after preseason to sign Lamb hurt the team. It stands to reason that Lamb and Prescott would be fully on the same page instead of 90% if Lamb was signed at the beginning of camp.Their chemistry will only improve with time and that can only mean good things for the Cowboys' offense as Lamb has earned a 23% target share through two games and gets to face the Ravens No. 26 ranked secondary. If there is a path to a Dallas victory on Sunday, feeding Lamb is it.
