Former “Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis is stirring up old rumors—and fans are here for it. The former Bravolebrity just revived speculation that she could one day take the reins on “The Bachelorette.” On her Instagram Story, Dennis reposted a screenshot of a 2018 Google search with articles questioning whether she might become the next rose-giver on ABC’s hit dating show. The post has fans wondering if she’s seriously considering a return to reality TV—or just enjoying the attention.
From ‘Southern Charm’ to ‘The Bachelorette’?

Back in 2018, Kathryn Dennis set Bachelor Nation ablaze when she teased the possibility of becoming “The Bachelorette.” At the time, the then-25-year-old reality star replied to a fan on Twitter saying, “Actually I’m kind of in talks about it ?” She doubled down by responding to another follower with a cheeky “Maybeeeee ????”
Dennis spoke with Entertainment Tonight that same year and shared what she was looking for in a partner. “I just want a normal, nice [guy],” she said. “That’s it. That’s all I really care about. Yeah, and tall. And smart. I like someone who can hold a conversation about something other than talking about themselves.”
The Charleston native—best known for her rollercoaster relationship with co-star Thomas Ravenel, with whom she shares two children—was working to rebuild her life at the time. After a stint in rehab and a lengthy custody battle, she was focused on her sobriety and getting back on track.
“I wouldn’t have my children” if I had made different choices, Dennis said of her early “Southern Charm” romance. Despite the ups and downs, she told ET she dreamed of getting married and having “two to four more kids.”
Kathryn Dennis Updates Her Fans on Life After Reality TV
Dennis stepped away from “Southern Charm” after season 8, and these days she’s a little more reserved on social media. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t dropping clues about where her head—and heart—might be. In June 2025, she posted a dramatic, artistic selfie wearing a striking red dress and a crown, captioned, “She walked back in red. The court didn’t crown her — the storm did. KCD, 8:29 PM.”
The cryptic line felt like a declaration: she’s been through a lot, and she’s coming back stronger.
In May, she also shared several emotional messages about motherhood for Mother’s Day. “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work,” one post read, quoting C.S. Lewis.
Another emphasized her commitment to her daughter, Kensington “Kensie” Ravenel, and son, Saint Ravenel: “The legacy that matters won’t be what you built in the world. It will be who you raised.”
