The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had Mike Evans this past Sunday against the Saints, but he was limited. He didn’t have his usual workload, and it was noticeable that he wasn’t playing at 100%.
On Thursday, Todd Bowles and Mike Evans were able to offer some updates on his lingering hamstring injury.
Mike Evans remained on the team’s injury report, and his status has not yet been made official. It will become official on the team’s final injury report, which will be posted on Saturday instead of Friday because their game is on Monday.
Todd Bowles updated the situation, saying, “He tweaked his leg. He didn’t practice today, but he’s getting better. We’ll see how the week goes with him. . .it’s been nagging.”
How long will Mike Evans be out?
Mike Evans shouldn’t miss anything more than this week, if any, but even that is speculatory. His being able to play in Sunday’s game with the injury hints that it could be just what Bowles is telling the media. Sometimes, nagging injuries can be worked out, sometimes not.
