Philadelphia Eagles cornerback went viral last month for a short but sweet message he wrote on X/Twitter during the team's visit to the White House for the Super Bowl celebration.
"Donald trump daughter is beautiful damn," Ricks wrote on Monday, April 28.
The message was received by Ivanka, who decided to stop by the NovaCare Complex facility to thank Ricks.
Unfortunately, Ricks was not in the building, which prompted Ivanka to leave a message: "Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you! Go Birds!” she wrote on a piece of paper and left it in his locker.
Ivanka later posted a picture of the note in response to Ricks' original tweet, which didn't take long to also go viral.
Ricks Poised for Bigger Role in 2025
Ricks, a cornerback for the Eagles, has made a solid impression early in his NFL career. After going undrafted in 2023, he earned a spot on the Eagles’ roster and contributed to their Super Bowl LIX victory, especially on special teams.
In his rookie season, Ricks appeared in 16 games, recording 19 total tackles, including 12 solo stops, and defending three passes.
This past season, however, Ricks appeared in only seven games, recording a total of two tackles, one solo and one assisted. He did not register any interceptions, passes defended, forced fumbles, or sacks during the season. Despite playing limited snaps, Ricks stood out by allowing just a 50 percent completion rate on 36 targets, ranking ninth among 109 cornerbacks in coverage efficiency.
With key departures in the Eagles’ defensive backfield, including veterans Darius Slay and Avonte Maddox, Ricks is poised to compete for a more prominent role under Vic Fangio's defense.
