With his 97 yards on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase became the first player in team history to eclipse 1,500 receiving yards.
Through 15 games, Chase has 1,510 receiving yards, 108 receptions and 16 touchdowns. The fourth-year wideout already held the franchise record for most receiving yards in a season after posting 1,455 in 2021, his rookie season.
Up next and not too far off for Chase are the Bengals single-season records for most receptions (112, 2007) held by T.J. Houshmandzadeh and touchdown receptions (17, 1995) held by Carl Pickens.
The Bengals defeated the Browns 24-6, improving their record to 7-8. A win against the Denver Broncos next week will keep Cincinnati's playoff dreams alive, though they do not control their destiny and will need multiple contests to fall in their favor to qualify for the postseason.

Cincinnati star on his way to the triple crown.
Chase leads the NFL in receptions, yards and touchdowns, as Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer alluded to.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp last accomplished that feat in 2021, joining other NFL legends like Steve Smith Sr. (2005), Jerry Rice (1990), Lance Alworth (1966) and Don Hutson--who hit the triple crown five times in his career and the only player to do it more than once.
