Any given Sunday, anything can happen in the NFL world.
Sunday afternoon was the latest example, as the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Cleveland Browns in a last-second effort. Everything seemingly lined up for Baltimore to notch their sixth consecutive victory as Jameis Winston in his first start for Cleveland.
But then again, any given Sunday. Plus, who wouldn't be motivated after receiving a Winston pregame speech?
The Browns had their best offensive performance of the season with over 400 yards of total offense and 29 points.
"Unwavering faith," Winston said. "Ultimate belief. Depending on the Lord, and depending on the Lord should've been first. He gets all the glory, thank you Jesus. Thank you for this win."
He then hilariously shouted out rapper Eminem, alluding to "Lose Yourself" to his shot at the starting position in Cleveland.
"There's a white boy from Detroit that I really admire named Eminem," Winston said. "He said, 'You only get one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime.'"
Winston doing this in his first performance only makes the Deshaun Watson signing look worse. If Winston has a productive season, it will be the second consecutive season where a quarterback outperforms Watson in his relief.
But honestly, Browns fans probably aren't even worried about that right now. They are riding the high of beating their division rivals as underdogs.
The Browns ended their five-game losing streak, while the Ravens ended their five-game win streak. Even for their talent and Super Bowl aspirations, there are serious concerns with Baltimore's defense. They still possess the league's worst pass defense, and rank No. 26 in points allowed/game.
They have an opportunity at redemption against the Denver Broncos (5-3) next Sunday.
