Jared Goff Praised by Longtime Lions Tormenter Aaron Rodgers Amid 'Wild' NFL Record Streak

Jared Goff and the Lions are becoming the talk of the National Football League.

Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are resting up after a dominant 24-14 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field this past Sunday, eliciting praise from all corners of the National Football League in the meantime. 

On Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Show to share his thoughts on what he called a "ridiculous," "crazy" and "wild" string of performances on the football field by the former Los Angeles Ram, California Golden Bear and number one overall draft pick from 2016. 

"Well first of all I love Jared, he's definitely a guy I pull for," Rodgers said. "He was written off for sure, you know he was definitely written off.

"When the trade happened for Matthew (Stafford), and I friggin' love Matthew too, he's one of my favorite players to watch; the sentiment wasn't, 'oh,' it was just trading places for these guys, it was, the Lions gave up a franchise quarterback for Jared Goff." 

Goff leads the NFL with a 74.9% completion percentage and has thrown 14 touchdowns vs. four interceptions on the season for coach Dan Campbell's Lions. 

According to Detroit Lions PR, Goff has the highest completion percentage in NFL history over his recent six-game stretch, completing 82.6% of his passes. 

Goff completed 106 of 128 passes during the stretch, culminating in Sunday's big win. 

Next up for the Lions is a road battle vs. CJ Stroud and the Texans in Houston on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET. 

The game will be a chance for the Texans to prove they belong among the NFL's elite, a challenge that is sure to capture Goff, Campbell and the Lions' attention.
