Jax Is Adding 2 New Bars to His Restaurant Empire: "I Could Be the Next Lisa Vanderpump"

The Valley’s Jax Taylor is expanding his entrepreneurship by adding two new bars to his ever-growing empire, and it sounds like one in particular will have a far reach.

The former SURver and Jax's Studio City bar owner confirmed he has two new bars in the works in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, while spilling the details about what’s to come for the father of one and businessman.

Jax even said it wouldn’t be beyond the realm of possibility to have a business like SUR, where cameras could follow the crew just as Vanderpump Rules once did with Jax and his former castmates.

Here's what to know about Jax's upcoming endeavors.

Jax Taylor Opening New Bars
When asked by The Daily Dish about his L.A.-based sports bar — which has been featured in The Valley’s debut season — the number one guy in the group said things were going “very, very well." In fact, he revealed his business is now expanding.

“We’re opening, actually, two more locations — one in California and one is out of state,” Jax explained. “I can’t say exactly where, but yeah. We’re really excited.”

Jax and his now-estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, took on Jax’s Studio City as a united front, and while they maintain the establishment is “the one thing keeping us really strong,” there’s no telling yet whether Brittany will have anything to do with future openings.

It also remains unclear whether the investors at the Studio City location — or, as Jax previously called them, his “three partners footing the bill” — will have a stake in the new bars.

Could one of Jax’s bars be the next SUR?
Jax admitted to The Daily Dish that it “would be great” to have an establishment similar to the belonging to his former boss, restaurateur and Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump.

“I hope The Valley can follow more of Jax’s Studio City,” Jax said. “I mean, that’s kind of the dream, right? I could be the next Lisa Vanderpump.”

Meanwhile, Jax explained, the Studio City location near his home is thriving.

“It’s doing so well, and I’m so happy for the bar; I’m so happy for the employees. Everyone is having a good time,” he said. “It’s a dream come true to have a bar, especially a sports bar, ’cause I’m such a sports guy, so yeah. It’s doing really well. We’re happy about it.”

Will Jax's future bars be like Jax's Studio City?
Inquiring minds wondered if his new joints would keep the same vibe as Jax’s Studio City to keep up with a franchise-style venture or if he planned to do something entirely different in the future. As it turns out, Jax – who has long proclaimed his love for the Hooters restaurant chain (Brittany, herself, was a Hooters girl later inducted into the Hooters Hall of Fame) — said he hoped to cultivate the same feel.

“Yeah, I’m going to keep the same,” Jax said. “I like the lounge, sports bar. It’s a little bit for everybody.”

Jax’s Studio City opened its doors to host The Valley’s premiere party in March 2024, red carpet and all. Though Jax and Brittany’s progress on the bar is still being documented in the series — airing Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo —  the couple announced their separation weeks before the first episode aired.
