Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels was everything the franchise thought he would be and more in his rookie season.
Daniels led the Commanders to a 12-5 record and won two playoff wins to reach the NFC Championship game, and it was his demeanor and calmness under pressure in big moments that separated him from the rest.
Now, with a year under his belt and fresh off winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, what will Jayden have in store in Year 2?
Bleacher Report has gone through all 32 NFL teams, selected the best player from each, and described them in one word, and for Jayden, it seems fitting.
"Ready -- The 24-year-old was completely electric as Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024, and he’s primed to explode as an elite NFL star in 2025," Bleacher Report writes.
Daniels does feel poised to continue his trajectory to being one of the best quarterbacks in football, but as we saw last season with C.J. Stroud, success in the NFL isn't linear, and setbacks can easily happen.
But the Commanders have set a good cultural foundation and have the salary cap power to put more pieces around Daniels as they gear up for another title at the NFC crown.
Of course, it all starts and stops with Daniels, and if he can be the same player he was last season, or even slightly improve, Washington is going to be up to its eyeballs in the Super Bowl race.
And that is why in 2025, Daniels appears "ready" to take that next leap.
