Jayden Daniels Receives Awesome Tribute at NBA Game After Commanders Made NFL Playoffs

The Washington Commanders are riding high in the first year with head coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (5).

After a thrilling "Sunday Night Football" win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, the Commanders officially clinched a playoff spot.

The play of Daniels is a huge reason for this as the rookie has thrown for 3,530 yards with 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions while rushing for another 864 yards and six scores.

At this rate, Daniels is likely going to be the front-runner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, especially with the Commanders heading to the playoffs.

On Monday night, Daniels was spotted in attendance at the New York Knicks-Washington Wizards game in D.C. and received a sweet tribute from the home crowd.

The PA announcer welcomed Daniels and the fans cheered him on as he was seen holding up a Wizards jersey with his name on the back.

The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner has made the transition to the NFL rather seamless. On Sunday night, he rushed for 127 yards and threw for 227 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

The final play of the game was a touchdown pass to Zach Ertz to secure the victory and clinch a spot in the playoffs.

The Commanders and Green Bay Packers are both 11-5 entering the final week as they battle for seeding purposes in the NFC.

Nonetheless, Daniels has been playing incredibly well and received a nice round of applause from the Wizards crowd.
