Jayden Daniels Sends Two-Word Message to Deebo Samuel After Commanders Trade

The San Francisco 49ers officially agreed on a trade to send wide receiver Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders ahead of free agency.

Samuel, who's coming off his sixth year with the 49ers, requested a trade from San Francisco and was ultimately dealt for a fifth-round draft pick.

After the Commanders' announcement about acquiring Samuel from the 49ers, Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels took to social media to send his newest offensive weapon a message.

"Let's work," Daniels said.

Daniels will now be playing alongside one of the most versatile receivers in the NFL, Samuel, who was previously named an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2021.

Last season, Samuel posted three touchdowns and 670 yards on 51 receptions. He also added one touchdown and 136 yards on the ground.

While Samuel has declined from his All-Pro season, the Commanders were able to acquire an experienced weapon for Daniels, who is preparing for his second season in the league.

In 2021, Samuel's All-Pro season, the former 49ers wide receiver posted six touchdowns and 1,405 yards on 77 receptions. Samuel also recorded eight touchdowns and 365 yards on the ground.

During Daniels' Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign, the NFL's rising star posted 25 touchdowns and 3,568 yards with a 69.0 completion percentage. Daniels also proved to have talent in the run game, recording six touchdowns and 891 rushing yards.
