With training camp getting closer and closer for the Green Bay Packers, who is the team’s most promising building block? Wide receiver Jayden Reed is certainly in the running.
After a surprisingly successful 2023 season for the Green Bay Packers, they now will be trying to build on that success in 2024. Winning a road playoff game wasn’t something that many people projected the Packers to do entering last season, but their young team kept getting better and better as the season went on.
With a lot of young players on the team, the Packers could have sustained success for years to come. Recently, Bleacher Report spoke about who is the best building block for the team entering 2024.
The choice was second-year wide receiver Jayden Reed. Here’s what they had to say about the Packers‘ young pass catcher.
Green Bay Packers: Jayden Reed, WR
Since youth is the overarching theme on the Packers roster, you could make a reasonable case for several players. Jayden Reed impressed as a rookie, reeling in team-leading totals of 64 passes for 793 yards and eight touchdowns while adding two rushing scores. Jordan Love’s development partially hinges on the growth of players like Reed.
With a lot of young talent on the team, there were plenty of choices for the Green Bay Packers. However, choosing Jayden Reed is a good one. As a rookie, Reed was one of the first-year receivers, as he totaled 793 receiving yards and caught 64 passes.
For the Packers, the development of their young receiver corps to go along with Jordan Love will determine how far this team can go in 2024. As we saw in the second half of last year, the Packers could have one of the best offenses in the league. However, they are still very young and somewhat unproven.
As we head into 2024, Jayden Reed will certainly be a player to keep an eye on for the Green Bay Packers entering his second season. After a strong rookie campaign, we could see Reed as a 1,000-yard receiver this season.
