Monday night’s game against the Denver Broncos felt personal for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. That much became apparent almost immediately with the 25-year-old back facing the team that selected him No. 15 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jeudy was excellent from the word go and nearly topped the 100-yard receiving mark in the first half alone. On top of that, after Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix connected with Marvin Mims for a 93-yard score in the third quarter, Jeudy and quarterback Jameis Winston responded on the next play.
Winston connected with Jeudy for a 70-yard touchdown, eliminating the Browns' double-digit deficit just seconds after falling behind by 11 on the Nix touchdown.
Here's a look at the pitch and catch between Winston and Jeudy, who proceeded to troll Broncos cornerback Levi Wallace before even crossing the goal line.
Jeudy wasn't done there, though.
The touchdown extended the receiver's stat line to six catches for 167 yards and one score in the third quarter, and Jeudy made sure his former team's fanbase knew about it.
For good measure, this wasn't the first time on Monday that Jeudy made sure Broncos fans were well aware of his big night.
