Jesse Lally Updates Fans on The Valley’s Jax Taylor Amid Divorce and Rehab

Jax Taylor and Jesse Lally’s lives were on a very similar trajectory throughout Season 1 of The Valley. And, it seems they’ll be facing many of the same challenges in Season 2.

Jesse and his now-estranged wife, Michelle Saniei, separated at the end of last season. She asked for a divorce soon after filming wrapped, and the two now co-parent their 4-year-old daughter, Isabella. Likewise, Jax and Brittany Cartwright’s marital issues were also revealed by the conclusion of the show’s inaugural season. After a few months of separation, Brittany filed for divorce. Jax recently completed a stint in a mental health facility and says he’s continuing to work on himself.

In a recent interview, Jesse gave an update on how Jax is faring in light of everything going on in his life at the moment.

On Thursday, Jesse gave an update on Jax to Page Six. Despite Jax’s current divorce and mental health struggles, Jesse says that Jax is “good.”

He continued, acknowledging the similarities going on in his own life. “In Season 1, you see me say to him that if he should take advice from anybody, it should be me because I was basically a year ahead of him when I saw the writing on the wall.”

“Ever since the summer ended last year and things started to happen, [Jax] started leaning on me a lot more, and it was good.” Jesse says this shared experience has “brought [them] a lot closer together.”

After realizing that he had “serious anger issues” and needed to get better for his and Brittany’s 3-year-old son, Cruz, Jax entered an inpatient treatment center back in August.

It was there Jax learned that he was a narcissist and was diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder. He’s been on a journey to learn more about his struggles and has been taking medication.

Jesse’s proud of his friend’s willingness to work on himself. “I’m glad that he went and did the work that he had to do, and he’s continuing to work on his growth for his son.”

Those who’ve become familiar with Jax over the years while watching him on Vanderpump Rules know he’s been struggling with issues for a long time. Here’s hoping that we’ll find out that Jesse’s optimism about Jax’s self-improvement is warranted when The Valley returns!

Season 2 of The Valley was filmed over the summer and will likely return in Spring 2025.
