Jets’ Breece Hall ‘Excited to Get Rolling’ vs. 49ers

New York Jets running back Breece Hall is fully healthy and ready to hit the San Francisco 49ers with both barrels on Monday night.

With Hall now fully healthy and coming off a decent season in his first year back from an ACL injury, many have compared Breece to 49ers star Christian McCaffrey.

This is due to Hall's ability to be a dual-threat back who is equally as devastating running the ball or catching it. But Hall is distancing himself from those comparisons and is ready to rock against San Francisco.

"Really to me, I haven't really done anything in this league yet," Hall said. "[McCaffrey] sets the standard. He's a top-10 player in this league, and I feel like with my talent and the team we have, I have potential to trend towards that way. So, I'm just excited to get rolling."

Hall appears to be flattered by the McCaffrey comparisons, but he knows he doesn't have the skins on the wall that the 49ers star does - but that might come in due time.

With Hall and Aaron Rodgers back healthy, he will get to play behind a future Hall of Famer and a revamped offensive line. It is easy to forget New York had one of the worst offensive lines in football last season-that won't be the case in 2024.

Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses, and John Simpson are Hall's new blockers, and if Breece can rush for 994 yards behind a poor offensive line, the imagination runs wild as to what Hall could do behind this new group.

Hall is determined to be his own player, and while the McCaffrey comparisons are good for the soul, he wants to prove he belongs in that conversation.

And that journey begins on Monday night.
