Jokes Pouring in After Commanders' Jayden Daniels Autographs Newborn Baby

The Washington Commanders are gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, where they look to build upon their success from last year after reaching the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 1991 season.

Jokes Pouring in After Commanders' Jayden Daniels Autographs Newborn Baby

Of course, much of that can be attributed to star quarterback Jayden Daniels, who was amazing, earning Pro Bowl honors and winning the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

It's clear that fans can't get enough of their quarterback either, because during training camp on Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reported that Daniels fulfilled one person's request to sign their newborn baby.

Later, Jhabvala went on to add that cornerback Marshon Lattimore and retired linebacker London Fletcher also joined in, while providing a photo to show that it was the baby's clothes that were signed rather than their skin.

Fans Can't Get Enough of the Situation

Either way, though, fans are loving that Daniels and others did not deny this relatively odd request, as jokes have continued to fly in.

"That kid is going to be the next future franchise QB for the Commanders.....the heir to the throne.....literally signed by greatness personified," said one comment.

"He’s doing presidential things," said another.

"Dad better frame that onesie, photo & tweet in the nursery," a third added.

A fourth stated, 'Damn that baby already has my net worth beat."

"Rg3 never had this motion sorry," a fifth continued.

"Get that baby tatted asap before it rubs off!" said another.

Daniels' Products Among the Top Selling in the NFL

If a fan requesting that Daniels sign their baby doesn't already show how much those who cheer for the Commanders appreciate their quarterback, then his product sales will.

In June, the NFLPA released a list consisting of the top NFL players with the most officially licensed products sold between March 1, 2024, and Feb. 28, 2025, which includes items such as jerseys, apparel, bobbleheads, accessories, figurines, wall decals, backpacks and drinkware.

Daniels stood at number four, behind other names such as Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (No. 1), Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (No. 2), and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (No. 3).

What's at Stake for the Commanders and Daniels in 2025?

A repeat appearance in the NFC Championship Game is certainly a big ask, but not completely out of the question, as ESPN BET ties the Commanders for the sixth-best odds (+1800) to win the Super Bowl.

Obviously, winning the NFC East is also a top priority, especially considering they haven't done so since 2020, and even then, it wasn't too impressive since they still only had a 7-9 record.
