Jordan Love can throw. That’s what he has been doing in the past years for the Green Bay Packers. But maybe not in baseball.
The Packers quarterback was the Brewers main guest during the start of their series with the Boston Red Sox and was given the honor to throw the ceremonial pitch.
Love is one of the better starting quarterbacks coming into the 2025 seasons and he got the numbers to back it up
His 2024 passer rating was at 96.7, an improvement from 96.1 in 2023. He was fifth in the league last season when it comes to yards per attempt with 7.97, improving from 7.18 he recorded the year before.
There was so much fanfare about Love heading into the Brewers opening ceremony with some thinking he will do great on the mound. However, that was not the case.
Love, who has been busy honing other QB skills this offseason, threw the ball without force unto Brewers star and 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich and the ball was even out of the frame, an indication that it was a ridiculous look.
Good thing for the Brewers, ceremonial pitch is everything Love had to do. Milwaukee went on to win the game, 3-2.
Jordan Love gets trolled
Love’s digital footprint has added one that he would probably want to delete.
Social media can be brutal and that’s what happened shortly after Love’s MBL moment was posted. He got trolled heavily with some saying he has no place for sports while others attacked his quarterbacking skills.

Others are worried if it is an omen for Love’s upcoming season.
Even the Packers org was not spared.
