The Green Bay Packers have big expectations for quarterback Jordan Love, who is gearing up for his third season as the team’s No. 1 option under center. Coming off an up-and-down season that was also marred by injuries, Love is focused on leading Green Bay to a great 2025 season. That is going to be easier said than done, but he’s got the tools and weapons to make that happen.
For Love, who is No. 68 on the NFL’s Top 100 list in 2025, the training camp will also be about developing any edge and further polishing details in his game, regardless of its scale.
Last season, Love saw action in 15 games and recorded 3,389 passing yards with 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the Packers, who won 11 games and booked a spot in the NFL playoffs.
Green Bay Packers’ Love drawing penalties early in training camp
The Packers have just finished their second day of training camp at Nitschke Field, and it did not end without Love getting attention in at least one area.
As observed by Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com, the former Utah State Aggies star quarterback’s “hard count is getting nasty.”
Hodkiewicz noted that Love had the defense going offside because of his cadence, victimizing Nate Hobbs and Edgerrin Cooper on separate occasions.
Said Hobbs: “I knew if I was to jump offsides I had to make that (next) play to get us off the field,” Hobbs said. “I told my teammates, ‘That’s on me, I promise I’ll make that play.’ That builds trust. When your teammates looking around and are like, ‘That could lose a game,’ you’ve got to know as a man you’ve got to be accountable. I just told my guys, ‘I’ve got you all. I promise.'”
