The Las Vegas Raiders have made a series of failed roster decisions over the last several years, which has plagued the franchise and kept them in the cellar of the NFL. Perhaps the most frustrating choice was letting star running back Josh Jacobs leave in free agency just a year removed from leading the league in rushing.
Jacobs is now a member of the Green Bay Packers, and he had an incredible campaign in the NFC North this season, helping lead his team to the playoffs. On Monday evening, however, Jacobs posted on his Instagram story that he was back at Allegiant Stadium and even posed at midfield with the Raiders logo.
It is unclear exactly what he was doing in Las Vegas or at the stadium, but based on the content of his Instagram story posts, it seems like Jacobs was at the stadium for a public relations event. More to the point is the image of him posing with the Raiders shield, which indicates that he still has an affinity for the franchise that drafted him six years ago.
Jacobs cemented himself among the greatest running backs in franchise history in the five seasons he spent in Oakland and Las Vegas. He amassed 5,545 yards and 46 touchdowns as a Raider, earning First-Team All-Pro honors in 2022 and making two Pro Bowls with the team.
While he is no longer a member of the Silver and Black, Jacobs will always be a Raider. His latest Instagram posts are simply a reminder that while he is not a current member of the franchise, he carries a piece of the team and Raider Nation with him.
