JuJu Smith-Schuster did a good job at reminding everyone that he still matters. The one-time Pro Bowler had his best game in years on Monday, as he played a big role in the Kansas City Chiefs' 26-13 thwarting of the New Orleans Saints at home.
For the first time since 2022, Smith-Schuster recorded over 100 receiving yards in a game, going off for 130 on seven receptions and eight targets against the Saints. It was the most receiving yards he had in a contest since racking up 124 in a Week 7 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers back in the 2022 campaign.
Perhaps Smith-Schuster was inspired by the message posted by her girlfriend, Laura Kruk, on Instagram before the Saints game.
"I have a crush on #9," Kruk captioned a photo of Smith-Schuster.

With the likes of Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown sidelined with injuries, Smith-Schuster has more opportunities to shine downfield for the Chiefs, which he surely did against the Saints. He only had 17 receiving yards on two catches and four targets in the 2024 NFL season entering Week 5.
Given the Chiefs' need for playmakers in the passing attack and his excellent performance versus New Orleans, the former USC Trojans star wideout could be in line for another big performance when Kansas City returns to action in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers.
