Per Slippery Rock’s website, the six-foot-four, 220-pound receiver earned consensus All-American honors at the D-II level for the 2023 season. Sheets finished his career with 154 receptions and 29 receiving touchdowns. He appeared in 51 games for Slippery Rock.

Per the league’s transaction wire, the Chiefs brought back tight end Izaiah Gathings, who spent time on the Chiefs during the 2023 season. Per a release by the Pittsburgh Steelers, he signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in May. He was a standout in college at Middle Tennessee State:

Gathings played college football at Middle Tennessee State where he caught 60 passes for 559 yards and two touchdowns in 2022. In two seasons, he played in 24 games, finishing with 84 receptions for 861 yards and three touchdowns.
