Kerby Joseph sends a strong message to every quarterback Lions face in 2025

The Detroit Lions have some confident players on their defense, but perhaps nobody as confident as safety Kerby Joseph.

Kerby Joseph sends a strong message to every quarterback Lions face in 2025

Joseph is one of the best trash talkers in the league, but his words are not merely nonsense. He backs it up with serious game. Since coming into the league in 2021, Joseph has 247 tackles and 17 interceptions, proving himself a playmaker.

This season, he's planning for even more. In the past, Joseph has tormented marquee names such as Aaron Rodgers. Now, he wants to find a way to victimize every single quarterback the Lions will play this year.

Joining "The Rich Eisen Show," Joseph was asked about his personal goals for the 2025 season. As he explained, he plans on picking everyone off, and potentially having a few multiple interception games to his credit just like he has in the past.

"All of them. (All) 17 (quarterbacks), and there'll be a couple of multiple interception games for sure. That's a record I've got. I've got (at least) two picks (in one) game every year I have played."

Joseph has shown a penchant for making the big play, so it wouldn't be wise to bet against him making some NFL history this season. Fresh off a contract extension, Joseph is setting his goals high once again and hoping to impact the game in an even bigger way than he already has.

Kerby Joseph wants to see Detroit Lions play outdoor teams early in 2025

With the schedule release coming, the Lions will learn their fate in terms of game times and locations. When that schedule officially shows up, Joseph has only a few requests and items for fans to look for that he discussed with Eisen. Namely, are the outdoor games early?

"All the cold teams. We can do them first. Baltimore. Who else? Philadelphia, get them up there. Green Bay? We could play them first. Chicago? We could play them first. It doesn't get that cold in Cincinnati, huh? Y'all can make the Commanders the cold game. My boys play out there. We played at Illinois together. They know what's up with me. Make that a cold game."

Realistically, Joseph understands it won't matter when or where the Lions play, as they are a team that has proven they can handle all types of elements. That doesn't stop him from hoping to see the effect of cold weather games minimized as much as possible.

Always one for an elite quote, it's clear Joseph is setting his sights high this season. It's going to be fun to watch if he can reach his goal no matter where or when the Lions play their games.
