The Sacramento Kings’ season is on the line in Wednesday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks in the Play-In tournament.
Of course, the winner of Wednesday’s contest moves on to play the loser of Tuesday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies while the loser is eliminated from the playoffs entirely.
Sacramento enters Wednesday’s matchup having won five of their last 10 games to end the regular season including a crucial victory over the Phoenix Suns on the final day of the regular season.
They will now look to keep their playoff hopes alive against a Mavericks team that has dropped six of their last 10 games as their roster continues to be decimated by injuries.

Ahead of Wednesday’s crucial matchup, the Kings have provided an update for two of their key players, Malik Monk and Jake LaRavia.
Sacramento has ruled out Monk for Wednesday’s game against Dallas as he continues to recover from a calf injury.
This is not a major surprise as Monk was expected to miss the entire Play-In tournament for the Kings, but it is still a massive blow as the veteran guard has played a key role offensively this season.
With Monk out, expect Devin Carter to continue to see an increased role off the bench while Keon Ellis will continue to man the point guard position in the starting lineup.

The Kings also announced that LaRavia will miss Wednesday’s game as he continues to recover from a thumb injury.
LaRaia still does not have a timeline for a return from his injury but Sacramento was optimistic that he could be back for the Play-In.
That will not be the case though as LaRavia will remain out, which should allow Trey Lyles and Doug McDermott to continue to see an increased role off the bench.
