Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick Are Engaged

In the earlier days of Vanderpump Rules, the relationships within were toxic AF. Kristen Doute knows this firsthand, as her relationships (both official and unofficial) always landed in either tears, strip mall fist-fights, backhands, or extreme chaos. When Kristen moved to The Valley, however, we finally saw her paired up with Luke Broderick, a man who loved her as she stood, warts and all. Kristen spent all of Season 1 at Luke’s side, finally feeling safe in a man’s arms. Wonderfully, Luke has just asked Kristen to marry him, and naturally, she said yes.

Luke Broderick and Kristen Doute, who are engaged

Kristen Doute said yes to Luke Broderick’s proposal

On Instagram, Kristen posted precious images of Luke’s proposal, and I beg you to please zoom in on her face. As Luke bent the knee, our girl glanced down and saw his offered ring. Her face said it all, reflecting pure shock and happiness, making my heart grow to a passable size. But also, how did Luke sneak one over on our resident detective like this?

Nevertheless, he did, and Kristen said yes. In her post, Kristen penned, “I’m wrapped around your finger like this ring I’m wearing. Out of all the fish in the sea, you chose me.” In parenthesis, Kristen praised Kyle Chan, her cast’s go-to-jeweler, thanking their “bestie @kylechandesign for creating the most beautiful ring!!”

As for the details of their engagement, Luke proposed to Kristen while motorboating (heh) around Maui, Hawaii, earlier this week. As stated to US Weekly, he told his then-girlfriend to look for dolphins as the sun sank into the horizon. Once she turned away, Luke got down on one knee. “It was a total surprise,” Kristen gushed.

Also, Kristen hysterically confessed that she blurted out several expletives when she saw Luke down on his knee with a ring. Thankfully, she also got the word yes out, officially taking their two-year relationship to the next level.

As the Valley Season 2 continues to film, Kristen is winning. Relationships are failing all over the place within her cast. But, as for her and Luke, their storyline has just begun.

The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
