Kristen Doute might've waged a “war” against Tom Schwartz. But don’t worry, it’s a lot more wholesome than it sounds.
How to Watch
The Valley cast member teased a potential battle on social media last week when she gave fans a quick look at her growing houseplant collection. Kristen — who just moved into a home with her fiancé, Luke Broderick — highlighted the additions in a quick Instagram Story and wondered how they compared to Tom’s impressive plant family.

“Oh, Tommy, we might give you a run for your money,” Kristen said in the video. “Got a couple more.”
The Vanderpump Rules alum showcased half a dozen potted plants positioned around her living room fireplace. As seen in the Story, the greenery really popped against the black stone hearth, white walls, and dark wood floors.
“Plant wars or plant friends?” she captioned the clip.
Tom Schwartz shares a look inside his life as a plant daddy
Just like Kristen and Luke, Tom is in the process of settling into his new home; and, yes, that includes designating a place for all his houseplants. The Minnesota native spoke about his green thumb in a March interview with BravoTV.com, confirming he had around 26 plants at the time.
“I’m proud of those,” he said backstage at Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion. “Everyone is healthy [and] happy… I just got a new addition to the family, and I forget the scientific name… but the informal name is a Boobie Cactus.”
Tom spreads the plant love to his Vanderpump Rules castmates
Tom isn’t just a plant-daddy, he’s also a prolific plant-giver. When James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, moved into their new home, Tom presented the couple with “a little Monstera.”
“Being a new homeowner, you’re going to become obsessed with plants,” Tom told James in the Season 11 premiere.
Tom pulled a similar move when he visited Lala Kent’s new Valley home earlier this year.
“What do you think [Tom Schwartz] gave me as a housewarming gift?” Lala asked on Instagram. “He gave me… A money tree. Thank you, Schwartzy! I love her!”
Are Tom and Jax Taylor living together?
But the plant-giving didn’t end there. Earlier this week, The Valley’s Jax Taylor revealed Tom had given him a beautiful flowering plant for his new place. The Vanderpump Rules alum showed off the gift in a September 17 Instagram Story, which showed the plant on his kitchen countertop.
“Thanks for my orchid [Tom],” Jax captioned the photo.
Jax moved into his new home just weeks after his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, filed for divorce. The bar owner, who shares a 3-year-old son with Brittany, spoke about his new chapter in the September 13 episode of his When Reality Hits podcast, confirming he and Tom were now neighbors.
“He has a townhouse that is next to mine, but they are completely separate. We have our own building,” he explained. “[Tom] is my best friend at the end of the day and if I need help with something, if I need help with Cruz, he’s right there. He loves Cruz and when Cruz gets to come over here, he’s gonna love hanging out with Uncle Tom.”
