Lala Kent & Garcelle Beauvais Reveal What It Was Like Working with Travis Kelce

The Bravolebrities connected with the NFL tight end during their respective appearances on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity, a Travis-hosted game show in which famous people try to help contestants answer fifth-grade-level questions. The Vanderpump Rules mom spoke about the experience during the November 4 bonus episode of her Give Them Lala podcast, confirming Travis had received a special visit while on set. 

“Are we able to give a little BTS tea of who was literally feet from your trailer?” Lala’s assistant Jessica Walter asked.

“Taylor Swift was in Travis Kelce’s trailer,” Lala said about the celebrity couple. “Just visiting. They were gonna have lunch together.”

Lala continued to rave about her on-set experience and shared a little anecdote about Travis.

“Also, here’s a little tea. So we had to — we didn’t have to, we got to do a group picture with everybody, like Nicole Byer, Ron Funches, both comedians, both freaking hysterical,” she said. “We had Ryan Fitzpatrick, who also is the host of Thursday Night Football, who also is freaking fantastic. Sophia Stallone… We had like a really fun ‘group of students,’ aka celebrities. And we take a group picture and I’m next to [Travis] and I’m pregnant… I believe he had two girls on each of his sides, and when he put his arms around us, he did not touch.”

Lala and Jessica referred to the move as “the classic hover.”

“Which I thought was very, very sweet… sweet, respectful,” Lala continued. “But it was one of the most fun times I’ve ever had. It was nothing but lightheartedness and giggles. And for the first time ever, I was in a school setting where I was not sh—ting bricks. You know, where I could, like, crack jokes about not being the brightest bulb.”

Garcelle shared similar comments about Travis during an August interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying she had also heard about Taylor’s visit.

“She did come on set. Not the day that I was there, but she came. I think it’s really sweet,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom said about the Grammy winner. “[Travis] was fantastic. Like, game show host? I wasn’t sure, but he didn’t overdo it, he didn’t under-sell it, he was himself, he was fun and it was great.”

Garcelle also admitted that Travis had a bit of “swag to him” and was turning heads during production.

“Listen, my glam team was like, ‘Oh my God, he’s fine,’” Garcelle recalled with a laugh. “Everyone on set was like, ‘He’s so fine.’ I don’t want the Swifties coming for me, though!”
