When fans think about the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive linemen over the last two decades, they will think about Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Jason Peters, Jordan Mailata, but one gets forgotten about too often.
While center Cam Jurgens is making a name for himself, left guard Landon Dickerson doesn't get the credit he deserves. Dickerson has been a four-year starter since being selected in the second round out of Alabama.
He has consistently proven himself to be one of the best guards in the NFL. PFF was able to confirm that with data backing it up.
Dickerson ranking near the top of PFF's best guards
PFF writer Mason Cameron ranked the top 32 guards in the NFL. Dickerson landed right in the top five at number five as he is one of the best run and pass blocking guards overall in the league.
"Dickerson has been one of the most well-rounded and consistent interior linemen since the day he stepped foot on an NFL field. 2024 was his best season yet, as he earned a career-best 78.6 PFF overall grade, which ranked eighth among guards. His pass protection stands out, with Dickerson placing in the 80th percentile in PFF pass-blocking grade on true pass sets in his career."
During his four-year career, Dickerson has started 63 games, but has not appeared in five regular-season contests. He's been selected for the Pro Bowl three consecutive years and has been a part of both of the Super Bowl runs, with the win in February.
What makes Dickerson great from the rest is what he is asked to do. Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland wants athletic linemen who are willing to pull and run all over the field. So many times during the 2024 season did fans see Dickerson make a block to let running back Saquon Barkley loose. That's simply because Dickerson reached the second level so quickly and is smart enough to know who to block at the right time.

It feels like any lineman who attends "Stoutland U" becomes one of the top players at their position. Dickerson is a perfect example of taking in Stoutland's coaching and become an elite guard in the NFL.
At 26, the sky is the limit for Dickerson as he is one of the younger linemen on the team who has to keep the tradition going when Johnson decides to retire. The Eagles are in good hands with Dickerson for a long time.
