The second episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will be premiering on Sunday, Oct. 6, on AMC and AMC+. Ahead of the episode's airing, CBR has an exclusive sneak peek clip to debut.
In the clip, trouble arises when Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) realize that Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) has gone missing. It's determined that the boy has been taken, leading to some big questions that need answered. In the meantime, Daryl leads the charge with organizing a rescue squad for Laurent. The characters preparing for a possible conflict might be a tease of how the mission could potentially end in disaster. The clip from the episode, titled "The Book of Carol: Moulin Rouge," can be watched below.
"Honestly, Daryl's a really big influence on Laurent," Scigliuzzi recently told CBR's Katie Doll about the bond between his character and Daryl. "He teaches him how to be a bit less soft, to be a bit harder, like Daryl. And I feel like Daryl kind of picked up Laurent's emotions and his empathy. He's more empathetic now. So, yeah, [Laurent's] harder now, and he knows how to fight for himself and what he stands for."
Honestly, Daryl's a really big influence on Laurent.
On how the series has also helped him evolve as an actor, Scigliuzzi added, "Wow, I mean, so much. I've learned so many things about all the actors and the directors that I've met, spoken to and worked with. I really evolved as an actor. I remember the first few weeks of shooting Season 1, and it was really nerve-wracking. At the same time, I was always surrounded by all those great people . I know all those people pretty well now and they're family."
Episode 2, "The Book of Carol: Moulin Rouge," is written by Keith Staskiewicz and directed by Daniel Percival. The official logline for the episode reads, "Carol and Ash take an unexpected detour. Daryl and Isabelle uncover a new threat at the Nest."
