To cap off Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets hosted their AFC East rival, the Buffalo Bills, on "Monday Night Football."
During his 18-year tenure with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers had become well-known for his his Hail Mary touchdown throws, recording multiple during his career. Against the Bills, the former California Golden Bears star did it again.
As time expired in the first half, Rodgers heaved the ball 52 yards to the end zone before Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard came down with it, decreasing the Buffalo lead to 20-17.
Three-time Super Bowl winner and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was left impressed with Rodgers' latest highlight, taking to social media to leave his comment.
"Why is Aaron so good at that," Mahomes asked on X with three laughing emojis.
Less than a minute later, NBA and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James responded to Mahomes' question, using one word to describe Rodgers' Hail Marys: "Ridiculous."
"Right!! It’s ridiculous!" James replied with five laughing emojis.
Rodgers was selected with the No. 24 pick in the 2005 NFL draft. During his time in Green Bay, he led his team to a Super Bowl win while securing four NFL MVP awards along the way.
In 2023, the 40-year-old signed with the Jets. Just four plays into his first game with New York, Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.
With Rodgers returning to begin the 2024 season, Jets fans had high hopes for their teams' chances at a Super Bowl win. But, after starting 2-3, New York made a decision to fire head coach Robert Saleh, leaving some concerned for the rest of the Jets' season.
