The Cleveland Browns dropped to 1-6 on the year after a 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.
It was another disappointing effort from the Browns, as they are tied with the New England Patriots for the worst record in the AFC.
However, one concerning storyline was the Achilles injury to starting quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The Browns signal-caller went down in pain via a non-contact injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski later said it seems he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, which is a tough blow for Watson and the Browns.
A clip surfaced of Browns fans cheering after Watson suffered the injury, and it sparked reactions from plenty, including teammate Myles Garrett.
On top of that, Los Angeles Lakers superstar and Cleveland supporter LeBron James had a strong message for Browns fans on X.
"Cleveland Fans! Yall know how much we’ve been thru throughout the years both good, bad and indifferent," James wrote. "With that being said booing anyone that’s down with an injury let alone your own player is LAME AF!! To the ones who didn’t (Salute emoji)."
Watson has struggled in 2024, which has surely become a talking point for the fans week in and week out.
However, being happy for a player suffering a season-ending injury is not pleasing to anybody, and James made sure to call those fans out.
After the injury to Watson, the Browns turned to Dorian Thompson-Robinson and then Jameis Winston. A final word on Watson's injury should come soon, but all signs point to the signal-caller missing the rest of the season in a devastating blow.
