Lennox Lewis Asks Mike Tyson to “Save A Little Bit” of Jake Paul

There is now a new date (November 15) for the worst decision of the ‘Problem Child’ Jake Paul’s (9–1, 6 KOs) life, as he steps into the ring with the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet” Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs). While the boxing community and fans are undoubtedly excited about the upcoming showdown, fighters in the heavyweight division are raring for a piece of the YouTuber turned boxer. In fact, Tyson’s former opponent, Lennox Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KOs), even asked ‘Iron Mike’ to save a bit of Paul for him.

Lewis was a guest on The Pulse hosted by Bill Anderson. In conversation, he expressed confidence in Tyson’s victory against Paul.

“Mike Tyson’s gonna win. Mike Tyson’s not that old. Don’t take him too softly. We’re one year apart. You can fight somebody like that and do well because the person you’re fighting is not a true fighter, and there’s a hundred things that you’ve forgotten that he’s learning,” he said.

Lewis further mentioned that age would prove problematic only if the fight goes on for too long. However, he stated that Tyson’s “ten-second combination” would prove to be Paul’s biggest nemesis. And even if one of those punches connects, it would be lights out for the younger fighter.

He was then asked if he’d contemplate stepping into the ring with Paul after the Tyson fight. “That’s a good question. I hope that Tyson saves a little bit of Jake Paul for me,” he said. Lennox was last seen in 2003, where he successfully defended his WBC, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles against Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KOs).

“He does not give a sh*t”

Many critics have questioned the age difference between the two fighters, but when asked about the same, Paul revealed that Tyson had no qualms about fighting a younger fighter.

“Tell Mike Tyson that because he does not give a sh*t what anyone thinks. He’s his own boss. He wants to fight me,” he said while talking to TMZ Sports TV Show. “He told my team, ‘I don’t give a sh*t about this. Like, tell Jake I’m still going to rip his head off and knock him the f*ck out, and this just bought him more time.’ Tell Mike Tyson not to fight and to chill and see how that goes.”
