Lightning's Nikita Kucherov Receives Ultimate Compliment

Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov received some great praise.

Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov had one of the best seasons in NHL history in 2023-24. In 81 games, he set new career highs with 44 goals and a league-leading 144 points, which led to him winning his second-career Art Ross Trophy. In addition, he became the first winger in NHL history to record 100 assists in a single season.

Due to Kucherov's immense dominance this past season, he has now received huge praise.

Earlier this week, the NHL Network released their top 20 wingers in the NHL, and Kucherov, without much surprise, landed the top spot. This placement is entirely justifiable when noting how remarkable of a season he just had.

Kucherov beat out some of the game's best players, as he ranked ahead of Matthew Tkachuk (Florida Panthers), Mikko Rantanen (Colorado Avalanche), David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins), and Artemi Panarin (New York Rangers).

In addition to Kucherov, fellow Lightning star Jake Guentzel made the NHL Network's list, securing the No. 16 spot. Former Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos also received the No. 13 spot.
