Lions’ Alex Anzalone Not a Fan of Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl

The Detroit Lions went 15-2 during the NFL's regular season in the NFC North Division, securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs before losing in their first playoff game against Dan Quinn's Washington Commanders.

Report: Alex Anzalone will make Lions return against Vikings

Turnovers and a rash of injuries proved to be the Lions' undoing as they went from NFC Super Bowl favorites to watching on the couch in a matter of days.

On Super Bowl Sunday one of the Lions' top defenders, linebacker Alex Anzalone, hilariously revealed his family's plans for Sunday night's choice of entertainment during Super Bowl 59's matchup between the Eagles and Chiefs.

"Anzalone family is watching Beauty and the Beast right now," Anzalone said to his 48,000 plus followers on X.

The post was viewed over 145,000 times as the clock neared 8 p.m. on Sunday night with the Eagles leading the Chiefs 17-0.

"Well, I guess today's a good day for no social media and TV," Anzalone said earlier with a displeased emoji in a post that was viewed over 341,000 times.

Anzalone's head coach, Dan Campbell, famously set the Lions' preseason expectations for a Super Bowl appearance.

Detroit was unable to make good on Campbell's plans as they lost to Washington by a score of 45-31 on January 18.

"Next year. It's going to be you...and us," one fan said in the comments section with a light blue heart emoji.

"Beautiful, and Beastly...Like the Lions!" another added.
