Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided some injury updates regarding interior defensive lineman Alim McNeill and cornerback Carlton Davis III following the team's 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Davis was ruled out early in Sunday's contest with a jaw injury while McNeill was ruled out early in the second half with a knee injury.
Campbell spoke to reporters following the game, providing unfortunate news regarding the two players.
"I don't feel good about either one of those guys," Campbell said about McNeill and Davis. "Normally if I'm saying I don't feel good, that means not good for the rest of the year. So don't feel good about it."
Davis suffered the injury in the second quarter while he got awkwardly wrapped up while attempting to make a tackle. He left the field and was subsequently ruled out of rhe rest of the game.
McNeill appeared to injure his knee while putting pressure on quarterback Josh Allen in the third quarter and landed awkwardly on his knee. He immediately appeared to be in pain as he limped to the sideline and didn't return.
Campbell added that, while he "doesn't feel good" about his players, the team would learn more on Monday.
Cornerback Khalil Dorsey, who came in for the injured Davis, also suffered a serious ankle injury late in the first half and was carted off the field. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Campbell said Dorsey is out for the rest of the season on Sunday.
It's yet another wave of injuries that could potentially hinder the Lions for the rest of the season, as they find themselves battling for the NFC and NFC North alike with playoffs only weeks away.
