The Detroit Lions have never won a Super Bowl, but they have employed some of the most exciting players in NFL history including Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders, who came to the franchise by way of Oklahoma State and has since become Detroit royalty.
Sanders has been an active fan of the Lions franchise in recent years, particularly the team's spectacular running back duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
Recently, Sanders commented on a picture of himself and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley that had fans talking, leading Sanders to make an announcement on the Lions running back duo afterward.
"I love that pic with me and @saquon," Sanders wrote on X Tuesday which caused a Lions fan to react.

"This should be a pic of you and Jahmyr (Gibbs). Love you goat but come onnnn," a fan wrote, responding to the Lions legend.
Sanders then shared information on a prized item he has that he said would be "up for grabs" at Lions training camp in Allen Park, Michigan where fans have been attending and watching in droves.
"I actually have a pic of me, @Jahmyr_Gibbs & @davidmontgomery," Sanders said, adding that he would likely give it away.

Sanders ranks number one all-time on the Lions' career rushing yards chart while Gibbs ranks 16th and Montgomery ranks 22nd.
The Lions were scheduled to take on the Los Angeles Chargers Thursday night in Canton, Ohio at the 2025 Hall of Fame Game.
