The Detroit Lions had a huge news story break this morning when All-Pro center Frank Ragnow retired. But that's not all the news that's coming out of Allen Park on Monday. The Lions have made a transaction.
They'll be waiving undrafted rookie Gavin Holmes and signing cornerback Divaad Wilson.

Holmes was not with the Lions long, just a handful of weeks. Wilson has been in the eNFL for the last two seasons and has spent time with the Jaguars, Cardinals, and Giants.
Wilson hasn't played a ton of regular-season football just yet. He's mostly been a practice squad guy. He's been active for seven games and started one of them for the Cardinals. In the preseason, he's shown some real flashes of being a solid depth guy with strong tackling.
The interesting thing is that this is yet another former Georgia player that Holmes has brought onto the team this offseason. He goes with Tate Ratledge, Dan Jackson, Dominic Lovett, and Jackson Meeks. We'll see how he turns out once camp opens up soon.
