Amelia Gray Hamlin, daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, is slated to appear in a new show helmed by Ryan Murphy. The FX series The Beauty is based on the Image Comics graphic novel of the same name.
Amelia is a successful model and is looking forward to making her acting debut on the show.

She feels like getting the part was a bit like fate. “I was a bit sick, stuck in my hotel room in Milan, thinking ‘What is my life? What’s my purpose?’” she shared with V Magazine. “And then I got this email being like, ‘Hey, there’s a Ryan Murphy show called The Beauty.’”
Amelia shared that the producers asked her to make an audition tape within two days. And despite feeling under the weather, she rallied. She knew she’d be mad if she didn’t give it a shot, so she read the script.
“Everything in the document was just so perfect for me then and there,” she said.
While acting and modeling are quite different, Amelia found she was a natural. Must be in the genes since both Harry and Lisa are actors. “I felt like I didn’t have to try to be this other person. I could kind of be myself, and it was easy for me.”
Amelia described Ryan Murphy as “incredible” and said that working for him was “surreal and insane.” She also expressed her respect and admiration for actors. She also explained why trying something new was important to her.
“I think a certain type of person who branches out to acting is craving a multi-dimensional outlet to put their creativity on a whole new level because once you model for however long, you need to get re-energized,” Amelia said. “I love my job so much, but I think it’s okay to want more experiences.”
The series follows an STD called the Beauty, which makes the people it infects beautiful. But it also kills its hosts as part of a suspected sinister government plot. The series stars Evan Peters, Anthony Ramos, and Ashton Kutcher. RHOBH alum Yolanda Hadid’s daughter Bella Hadid will also appear.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
