Logan Thompson Debuts New Capitals Goalie Setup

The Capitals acquired Thompson from the Golden Knights at the draft.

Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson is all set for his first year in D.C., as his new gear has officially arrived for the upcoming season.

Thompson was sporting his new team-themed equipment at the team's informal skates on Thursday, replacing his black and gold Vegas Golden Knights pads, blocker and glove with red, white and blue ones.

Thompson's new setup features stars and red and blue coloring. Here's a closer look at his gear.

The 27-year-old netminder debuted a new Capitals-themed mask just a few days ago featuring several D.C. landmarks.

Thompson was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights in a draft day trade and is expected to compete with Charlie Lindgren in a 1A/1B situation this season. Thompson has one year left on his contract.
