Aaron Rodgers, starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was recently seen practicing receiving at a beach, according to a viral video shared by Steelers Depot. Rodgers, who joined the Steelers a few weeks back, has been working hard to try and get the team to the Super Bowl. However, since he signed with the team pretty late, the veteran quarterback has not been able to make it to the OTAs or the minicamp.

The Steelers’ training camp will kick off pretty soon, and it looks like Rodgers is eager to impress his teammates and the team management in every way. In the clip shared by Steelers Depot, Rodgers can be seen catching the ball tossed at him high in the air by his trainers while barefoot on the sand.
Aaron Rodgers seems pretty optimistic about playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in what seems like his final season in the National Football League. Rodgers created a legacy of sorts during his long career with the Green Bay Packers. However, in the last couple of seasons, the quarterback has not been able to do much with the New York Jets.

Rodgers’ time with the Jets was peppered with injuries and poor performances which eventually led to the Jets releasing him in March this year. The Pittsburgh Steelers almost immediately handed Rodgers a deal which the quarterback took his own sweet time to sign. When asked about his choice to join the Steelers over any other team in the NFL, Rodgers admitted that he felt best that the team would be the one to lift the Lombardi trophy in the upcoming Super Bowl.
Aaron Rodgers’ QB Skills Questioned By Joe Thomas
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers’ quarterback and overall leadership skills have been questioned by retired NFL offensive tackle, Joe Thomas. Thomas made a recent appearance on the ‘Rich Eisen Show’ where he discussed the effect that Rodgers might have on the current Steelers locker room after injuries and poor stats highlighted his most recent seasons. According to Thomas, Aaron Rodgers may have once been a commanding presence in the NFL, but now all that is gone.
“I think that aura around him is kinda gone at this point. He really needs to humble himself a little bit…” Joe Thomas said about Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers has always carried a bit of a dramatic flair to himself throughout his NFL career and analysts are sure that this won’t die down in his one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers and the Steelers will be kicking off their 2025 NFL campaign with a face-off against his former team, the New York Jets, in Week 1.
