Maisy Stella and Bella Ramsey’s Complete Relationship Timeline

Since summer 2024, The Last of Us actor Bella Ramsey and Nashville star Maisy Stella have been spending a lot of time together. Fans are hoping the pair is more than just friends, but neither one of them has officially confirmed a relationship—though there have been hints.

Neither star has been very forthcoming about whom they’re dating, though they have both talked about their sexual identity. In a 2023 British Vogue interview, Ramsey said, “You never fully know who you are, it’s ever-evolving. But I certainly think that people have gathered that I’m not 100 percent straight. I’m a little bit wavy, you know? That’s what I like to say.”

In a September 2024 interview with the L.A. Times about her project My Old Ass, Stella said she identifies as pansexual, adding that her sexuality was a concern in her career when she was younger.

“It’s always been a stressful thing for me ever since I was very young of: If I’m gay, can I act?” she shared. “Because then they’re not going to believe me when I kiss a boy.”

The pair have quite a bit else in common, both beginning on TV as child stars. Stella started on Nashville at only nine years old, and Ramsey joined Game of Thrones when they were just 13. And they’re still successfully navigating Hollywood with one another’s support.

Fans began to wonder if the two might be dating after Stella shared a picture in her Instagram Stories of Ramsey posing in front of a poster for The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They were holding a popcorn container, and it looked like a day at the movies.

That month, Stella also shared a mirror selfie where a photobooth strip can be seen in the back of her phone case, which some fans thought showed her and Ramsey hugging.

The pair started to comment more on one another’s social media posts as the summer went on. Stella commented, “Oooooooooh my,” under a post on Ramsey’s timeline of The Last Of Us trailer for season two.

On August 27, Stella and Maddie Ziegler appeared on Hot Ones Versus. When Ziegler asked Stella if she’d like to tell everyone whom she is dating, she chose to eat a very spicy wing instead.

In early September, Ramsey was spotted in the background of some pictures taken at a special screening of My Old Ass. Around the same time, Stella shared a picture of Ramsey twinning with a friend in her Stories. On September 18, Stella posted pics from an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Ramsey commented, “Oh how you shiiiiiine.”

On September 22, Ramsey shared a post with their reflections on trans rights, and Stella commented, “Sweet.”

But it was a couple of Instagram Stories that Stella shared on September 25 that really stirred talk about the potential relationship brewing between the two of them. Stella wished Ramsey a happy 21st birthday with two pictures, one of which seemed to show them embracing.

Another photo showed Ramsey with a heart emoji by their face and the words, “Beautiful beautiful beautiful happy birthday the coolest comfiest most wonderful human imaginable.”

At the end of the month, Stella also shared a clip featuring Ramsey with the words, “Maisy have the best friends in the world challenge.”

On October 21, Stella shared pictures on Instagram from the Academy Museum Gala, and Ramsey commented, “I am in a state of disbelief.”
