The New Orleans Saints are looking to add size to their offensive line.
The Saints are hosting offensive tackle Barry Wesley on a minicamp tryout, per NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
Wesley was a four-year starter while at Colorado State. He appeared in 40 games—starting 38—and earned the Albert C. Yates Student Leadership Award from Colorado State for his leadership and mentorship of other players during his senior year.
Wesley, 25, went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft before signing with the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League in December 2022. The large 6-foot-7 tackle would sign with the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL a month later in January 2023.
The former Colorado State offensive lineman finally saw his first NFL action when he signed with NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons in May 2023. Wesley would be released before the 2023 season, but make his way back on the roster on the team's practice squad.
After signing a futures contract with the Falcons at the end of the 2023 season, Atlanta would cut the former undrafted free agent before the start of the 2024 season.
Wesley spent the 2024 season as a member of the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League. He would play in 10 games with the Stallions.
The Saints' scouts have kept a close eye on the spring football leagues, bringing in tight end Seth Green and offensive lineman Vitaliy Gurman for minicamp workouts.
At 25 years old, Wesley has lots of experience thanks to being a four-year starter in college and his two seasons of spring football. If he is to impress and make the roster, he'll be fighting with other seasoned veterans for depth.
